Madelyn Hindia is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and the founder of Prila Psychiatric Care. She provides thoughtful, collaborative psychiatric care for children, adolescents and adults ages 5 and older throughout Illinois, Missouri and Kansas through both in-person and telehealth appointments.
Madelyn is known for her warm, down-to-earth approach and her ability to create an environment where patients feel genuinely heard. She believes psychiatric care should feel collaborative rather than rushed or impersonal, and she works closely with patients to create individualized treatment plans that align with their goals, preferences and overall wellbeing.
She commonly treats ADHD, generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), major depressive disorder (MDD), bipolar disorder, mood dysregulation, women’s mental health concerns and related emotional challenges.
Her clinical interests include ADHD, anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, women’s mental health, perinatal psychiatry, emotional dysregulation and treatment-resistant conditions. She also has a strong interest in the relationship between mental and physical health, including lifestyle, sleep, nutrition, hormones and other factors that may influence emotional wellbeing.
Patients often describe Madelyn as approachable, honest, thorough and easy to talk to. She values authenticity, trust and long-term therapeutic relationships, and strives to provide care that feels supportive, respectful and individualized.
Dr. Jiggar Hindia is a board-certified internist and intensivist with more than 20 years of experience caring for medically complex patients. He sees adult patients ages 18 and older and brings a calm, thoughtful and evidence-based perspective to patient care.
As an osteopathic physician, his medical training emphasized whole-person care and the connection between physical and emotional wellbeing, an approach that continues to shape his philosophy today.
Dr. Hindia has a special interest in the overlap between medical and psychiatric symptoms, particularly when conditions such as anxiety, depression, fatigue, sleep disturbance, brain fog or stress-related symptoms may have underlying medical contributors.
He commonly works with patients experiencing generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), major depressive disorder (MDD), chronic stress, fatigue, metabolic concerns, sleep issues and hormone-related symptoms.
His clinical interests include preventative medicine, metabolic health, hormone health, sleep and fatigue, stress-related conditions and lifestyle-informed care. He believes patients deserve care that is personalized, practical and rooted in both science and compassion.
Together, Dr. and Mrs. Hindia share a vision of creating a modern, relationship-centered practice where patients feel comfortable, respected and genuinely cared for.
We combine traditional psychiatric expertise with a broader medical perspective to help patients feel better, not just temporarily, but in a meaningful and lasting way.

We take a more thoughtful, personalized approach to psychiatric care. Rather than rushing through symptoms, we look at the full picture, including mental health history, medical factors, lifestyle, sleep, stress, treatment response and individual goals.
Our goal is for patients to feel heard, respected and involved in their care. Initial visits are more comprehensive, and follow-up appointments are focused on reviewing progress, concerns, medication response and next steps.
Yes. We use evidence-based psychiatric treatment while also considering factors that may affect mental health, such as sleep, nutrition, hormones, medical conditions, stress and lifestyle. Whole-person care is meant to complement, not replace, primary care or specialty medical treatment.
Many patients come to us after trying multiple medications without feeling fully better. We carefully review prior medication trials, side effects, diagnoses, medical history and treatment goals to create a more thoughtful plan moving forward.
